I have been working with students who have special needs for the past four years. I have assisted in a resource room in an elementary school, helped students develop appropriate social skills, and have worked with and supported a 5-year-old autistic boy at summer camp. I am currently pursuing a certification in early childhood education, and through my major, my school has given me the experience and opportunity to work hands on in an elementary school. These duties included lesson planning, managing a classroom, and reaching the needs and goals of every child.
