Jenna is a dream nanny, and hiring her was one of the best decisions our family has made! Having had several nannies in the past, we can confidently say that Jenna is truly exceptional. As our full-time nanny for our 4 and 1-year-olds, Jenna consistently went above and beyond. Both our kids absolutely adore her. Her background in early childhood education shone through and she would always come prepared with developmentally appropriate activities and crafts. She leveraged our kids’ interests to introduce educational lessons in reading, phonics, math, science, and art. Before we started with Jenna, we mentioned that it was really important to us that our kids get outdoor time. She both agreed and followed through completely. At the end of every day, she would give us detailed recaps of their activities and how our kids were doing, which we greatly appreciated. Her summaries made us feel connected to what was happening in our kids’ days. Jenna remained calm through our kids’ tantrums and big emotions and created a safe, reliable space for our kids to be themselves, develop social emotional resilience, and trust that she was there for them. Jenna was curious to understand why our kids might be upset, and recognized when they needed comforting or some special one on one time. Jenna’s dependability and communication are outstanding. She always showed up on time (or early) and is incredibly organized. She consistently left our house tidier than she found it (which is a major accomplishment with our kids)! She is also very safety conscious, which gave us complete peace of mind. Jenna is experienced and confident in her approach, and also incredibly collaborative and seeks out new strategies to grow and develop herself. We frequently exchanged ideas back and forth and we have adopted many Jenna phrases, strategies and games that we and our kids continue to use on a daily basis. Jenna became a cherished member of our family. Her warmth, talent, and passion for childcare make her an exceptional nanny, and we recommend her without reservation.
