Helping families with special needs (developmental, cognitive, mobility, and terminal health issues), is near and dear to my heart. I have three grown children and have learned so much raising them. I have patience and experience with difficult situations. I have learned how to see what society deems a disability as a social asset. I had to learn to be creative with my cooking, scheduling, discipline, and problem solving. I am able to help other families in their own journey. I hike, bike, and disc golf. I am an avid reader and love animals. I have counseled youth and adults with grief and loss issues and have worked as a residential skills coach for adolescent girls. I have also been a foster parent. I bring a sense of calm and security to challenging situations. I value each day and strive to add joy to the families I work with.
