I care deeply about the health and well-being of infants and toddlers. Having dedicated over 20 years of my career to working with families in childcare has made me aware of the importance sleep has in the development of healthy children. Working with dozens of parents, I have found that one of the most difficult problems families face is getting their infants to sleep for an appropriate amount of time, according to their age. Sleep deprivation poses a series of health risks that might be easy to ignore in infants at first glance. Some of these complications include but aren't limited to eczema, allergies, flatulence, congestion, phlegm, gag reflex and appetite loss. Lack of sleep is also detrimental for their psychology and overall behavior.
