About Jenean

I started tutoring while working on my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I took a reading assessment class and volunteered at the school for homeless children. I have a certificate of completion for helping evaluate the children's reading levels. I found this so rewarding that I started offering tutoring services. I was hired by a family with six children to help their 7th grader who was in jeopardy of being held back. I evaluated him and found that he was frustrated at the 3rd grade level. Not being able to read very well was effecting every subject including math word problems. I began tutoring him in all subjects and he passed 7th grade. I also tutored autistic children. One boy scored 9 out of 10 on the autism spectrum. I found a way to make it fun for him and when he became frustrated, we took a break. I currently work in Van Buren and Fort Smith.
