About Jen

I am passionate about providing tutoring services. I worked as an English/Writing/Humanities Tutor during my undergraduate studies, and later served as a Teacher for over 15 years. I taught eighth grade English Language Arts, followed by a year as an Academic Intervention Specialist and two years teaching Elementary Reading and Academic intervention Services for the Rochester City School District. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, loving and insightful. l enjoy tutoring because it gives me an opportunity to meet an individual where they are, focus on their strengths, and get them to where they'd like to be by providing support to promote their independence. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my 13-year-old son, read, work out, swim, hike, Create and volunteer. My skills include empathic listening, an innate ability to assist others in embodying their gifts, strengths and abilities, and expertise/experience in the world of teaching and learning.
