My name is Jelena and I come from Serbia, a small Eastern European country. I have lived in the United States for 11 years now. Before moving to Idaho 2 years ago, I lived in California for 2 years and Texas for 7 years. I hold a bachelor's degree in English Philology with major in Pedagogy. I always wanted to become a teacher, but I embarked on slightly different journey upon moving to the USA. My first experience working with children was in a daycare in Texas. I took care of infants, toddlers and preschool kids for little over a year and then I got a job in elementary school as a special education assistant teacher. I grew a lot in this field and gained valuable experience working with kids with challenging behaviors and developmental disabilities. When I moved to Boise, I obtained a behavior therapist certification, and I am registered with the National Board of Behavior Analysts as an RBT. I am currently contracted by the local school district as a Behavior Intervention Specialist
