About Jeannette

I'm a very lucky mother of 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren (still a work in progress). I started Caregiving when my mother was diagnosed with advanced Breast Cancer. I learned very quickly that quality of life not only consisted of education but love, compassion, dignity, and constant changes. Since her passing I've cared for men/women with Dementia/Alzheimer's, cancer, Parkinson's, Renal Failure, Stroke/Heart Attack recovery. For the last 4 years, 120 hours a week, I've had the honor of caring for a wonderful 90y woman with Dementia/Alzheimer's who taught me that every day is a new beginning. It's an extremely difficult time when a loved one falls ill, I hope to help make it just a little easier. *** over the last 2 years I've experienced the aggressive nature of Dementia and Alzheimers, both physically and mentally. It's a horrifying adjustment for our loved ones to loose their independence so it's natural to lash out. Its up to us to try and ease that fear and keep them safe***
