Jena has served our family for the past three and a half years as a caregiver for our two children, now 7 and 4, in addition to serving as a general house manager. We have been incredibly impressed with her ability to create a loving, disciplined environment for our kids, to remain dependable and flexible in accommodating our schedules and at the same time, managing various household chores and duties. Jena has quickly become very much a part of our family and has been indispensable in helping us keep our kids active and happy and our household running smoothly, while giving us the peace of mind and flexibility to maintain demanding professional careers. If we could, we would keep Jena working with us for a long time to come. However, we are moving out of the state to pursue work opportunities. We will truly miss Jena, both as an employee and as a friend and hope that this letter will assist her in finding a great family to serve. Jena has been a terrific caregiver to our kids. She is kind, caring, and fun-loving, but also has the ability to gently enforce the rules of our family. She has always been keen to understand and follow the rules of our household and our personal parenting style. She also actively engages our kids in learning activities, helps with homework, and takes them on field trips to museums, parks and other interesting and fun places. Jena is smart, articulate, and respectful. She provides a wonderful role model for our kids. In addition to being a terrific caregiver to our kids, Jena has helped us manage a busy household. With both of us working full-time, it has been incredibly helpful that Jena gladly and dependably shops for our groceries, runs errands, tidies up the kids' messes, and cooks occasional meals for us. For almost the entire time she has worked for us, Jena has had our credit cards to facilitate these activities. She has demonstrated incredible trustworthiness and care in using our credit to manage the household. Jena has also been very dependable and flexible in accommodating our schedules. In the three and a half years she has worked with us, Jena has missed only two or three days due to illness, and each time she has provided us forewarning that she might not be able to work. She has also been willing to stay late or come early when our schedules demand and has even provided overnight care on several occasions when work took both parents out of town. We can honestly say that we would not have succeeded in our careers to the same extent without having Jena's reliable, cheerful and dependable help at home. We would be more than happy to speak with you about Jena and how she has helped our kids grow and our family maintain a happy, clean, and safe home over the years.
