When I was a younger woman, my best friend's family asked if I would care for her grandparents. Grandma had early stage dementia, grandpa had a little bit of a hard time getting around due to arthritis throughout his body. I would arrive early am. Help grandma get to the bathroom. Prepare and serve them breakfast. Bathe and dress grandma. Get her meds. Get her comfortable for the day. Getting them their lunches and keeping them company, til the night nurse arrived. Did other light housekeeping.
