I worked with Special Needs for 32 years with the state of Connecticut Supervising a Respite Group Home. I believe that anyone can learn something new everyday even if it's just to smile and laugh . I enjoyed working with guest from 5 to 71 yrs of age with all levels of disabilities and medical needs. I had trained in CPR, first aid, PMT ( behavioral protection) and was med certified . I enjoyed going for outings to the park, movies , zoo etc. . My motto is that a special-needs person deserves as much respect and happiness as anyone else around them including participating in their community.
