I have two grown sons and I am a grandmother of 4 (7 & 9 years old in Atlanta, GA; 13 & 15-year-old in Bethesda, MD). I was an active part of my 13 & 15-year-old grandchildren from birth until they moved to Maryland, August, 2019. I feel fortunate that I was able to be a part of my grandchildren's lives! I enjoyed watching my grandchildren grow from infants to vivacious toddlers. We spent our afternoons going to the park, on walks, reading, reading, reading (they loved books), doing flashcards and other fun activities. I currently volunteer at LPCH (Lucile Packard Children's Hospital) as a "cuddler" (infants). I've been "cuddling" for 15+ years. Before I raised my family, I was a Kindergarten/First grade teacher in California. While my sons were toddlers, I was a family care provider for one other child. As my sons started school, I began doing Technical Support and Qualify Assurance engineering in Silicon Valley.

We were incredibly lucky to have Jeanie as our daughter's caretaker. She started looking after our daughter when she was about one month old up until she was 10 months. Jeanie is passionate, experienced, loving, reliable and very hardworking. Each morning when Jeanie would come to watch our daughter, our baby would light up! Jeanie takes her job seriously and is very organized. She ensured my daughter maintained a consistent schedule and had all her needs met. She created a safe and fun learning environment everyday. She'd take my daughter on daily walks, read to her, play with her, and even taught her some baby sign language! Even on days my daughter was fussy, Jeanie's calm approach was always soothing. I loved that she kept a daily log of my daughter's activities (mealtimes, naps, and playtime) and milestones. As a first-time mom, building trust with a caretaker is critical and with Jeanie it was effortless. We were so fortunate we had the opportunity to work with her.
