About Jay

Hello my name is Jay! I hold Master's degree in Special Education, with a background in students ranging from mild to profound disabilities. I've earned this degree from Dominican University and have been in the field of education for 10 years, a majority of my experience being with prekindergarten through fifth grade. My experience ranges across public and private schools including Maryland, DC, and Georgia. Some schools I have taught at include KIPP: DC, The Goddard School, and Inspire Kids. My expertise includes social-emotional groups, learning centers, early literacy skills, and early math literacy skills. My last position was an Interrelated Resource Teacher with grades K-2 in the Fulton County School District. I've recently made the difficult but fulfilling decision to transition to a full time at home educator to spend more time with my daughter who was born in December of 2022. I hope to create an environment for little learners through engaging play and exploration!
