Hi my name is Jayla I'm currently a senior in college pursuing an early childhood degree. I've been working with kids since I was 16 by joining Future Teacher Internship working with elementary kids, then continued working in preschools for 5+ years including Montessori and SPED life skills. Over the last few years I've worked in an elementary school with special education students but am comfortable and experienced with infants (6 weeks- 18 months), toddlers and 2-3-year-old, all the way through 4th grade but I love kids of all ages. If it's nice out I love to take the kids on adventures and let there imagination run wild or just let them have there space for the older kiddos. If not it's always a great day for crafts and sensory play maybe movie and a good Disney movie. I am familiar with the frog street curriculum as well as trained in CPR and first aid. I currently work for Galveston ISD and would love to be and extra hand for a family long term or offer occasional babysitting.

We had a FT scheduled and she was in constant contact with me and was right on time for our call. While on our call my son was screaming but she remained professional, calm and not at all distracted. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and she reassured me about her precautions and protocols during covid-19.
