About Jayda

I'm certified to teach 1st grade-6th grade. Last May, I received my graduate degree in Literacy Education (Birth-6th). Before that I graduated with my Bachelor's in Childhood Education and a concentration in Spanish. I have been a substitute teacher K-6th and I have completed over 65 hours of tutoring. I am currently a 4th grade teacher during the school year. I am looking to help young students over the summer/ after school hours. I've worked with a wide range of ages in different settings in school and in home. In the past I have also worked as a SEL teacher, and after school program teacher, and a creative play director. Once the school year ends, I will have openings in the mornings to early afternoons. I love facilitating activities that allow children to explore their creativity and senses when learning. I offer homework help as well as mini lessons and guidance based on their needs that I observe. I hope to guide student through or to their love of learning.
