Worked for 5 years with client's in their homes helping them remain as independent as possible. Initially worked in a home with 3 adults that were non-verbal. Those 3 individuals had developmental delays, cerebral palsy and ASD. Typically worked in 2 homes (3 clients in each) but by the end of my time with that agency I would often be called to other homes as I was one of the only providers capable of working in all of the homes and with all of the clients. Some of those clients had developmental delays, ASD, epilepsy or down syndrome. Implemented behavioral modifications, administered emergency medications (during gran mal seizures or deescalating aggressive behaviors). Administered medications, documented behavioral changes, cooked, cleaned and transported clients to events Scheduled, and transported to clients to events (special olympics, social gatherings, movie nights, outings, ect), medical appointments, work centers, ect.
