About Jared

Hi! I work with kids full time and I love it. I have worked as a substitute teacher for grades 4-12. I've facilitated day camps climbing, bouldering, and paddle boarding, ages 6-12. I've also worked with high schoolers as a tutor and substitute teacher since Winter 2022 and really enjoy even the most challenging days. One thing you should know about me is I'm not your typical babysitter. I love interacting with and engaging kids. I'm all about creating experiences and building positive relationships. Let's talk about what kind of cool stuff we can do while I supervise! With experience as a substitute teacher, I'm also well versed in meeting new kids, being tested, and setting healthy boundaries. I find that giving clear feedback about what I allow and don't allow makes kids feel more secure and regulated, and also builds rapport and respect.
