For 10 years I've work in a therapeutic special education environment with children from k-12. I've worked in a self contained non verbal autistic support classroom for the last 3 years teaching children how to communicate better and curbing behaviors to help the children become more independent. I'm also creative when coming up with sensory activities that interest the children. For the last 3 years I have been doing home care as a professional nanny working with special needs children as well. I transport to and from therapy session's , work with them on social interactions in family and social settings. I also help children communicate wants and needs appropriately and combine therapy with play in the home. I've also work the last 8 months with a quadriplegic adult male. Job duties were dressing/undressing, transport by lift from chair to bed, personal care, bowel program, feeding and light housekeeping.
