Sophie is pure MAGIC. When we first started interviewing for a nanny, we had a long checklist of "must haves": years of experience, multi-lingual, had a car, etc. But as we talked to different applicants, it became clear to us that one thing mattered more than any of those. Our nanny had to absolutely DELIGHT in taking care of children. For too many nannies, taking care of children is just a job. We couldn't get around the idea of someone watching our child all day who didn't 100% want to be there. When we first met Sophie, we could tell she was different. For her, childcare is a genuine joy. Even after we added a neighbors baby to her plate, we never once saw her grow frustrated or upset. We would marvel at how she could spend all day with the 2 boys and seem as energized as when she showed up that morning. If you have a chance to work with Sophie, do so. We have met tons of nannies from friends and family, and we wouldn't trade her for any of them.
