About Janice

Hi, my name is Janice and I'm am a retired Elementary Education teacher. I graduated from Northern IL University where I also worked as a Child Development Specialist. I have 30 + years experience teaching. I have also worked in several different educational programs with students with special needs. I have a passion for science and a minor in Biology but have a lot of experience and background in teaching children to read and have a passion for books and sharing that with young readers. I help students understand material they may not grasp in the classroom, making learning fun and less overwhelming. I customize techniques and introduce skills & concepts in a way they can understand in their own unique learning style. This improves their overall self esteem and attitude towards learning and school. Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning!
