About Janet

Hello I was a certified art and special education teacher in Public Schools. After 22 years of teaching in Boston I transitioned to international teaching and spent two years as a fifth grade teacher. Throughout my career I cherished the mutual learning I experienced working with kids. Every day I learned something new from my students. From their individual uniqueness to the the developmental commonalities of all children universally. When my contract ended in Guatemala I was on my way to New Zealand for a two year teaching assignment when COVID hit and NZ shut down and the US shut down shortly thereafter. I had only stopped in Boston to see my family before my move to NZ and I have been here ever since. During COVID I met lots of new dogs at the dog park and their owners, most happen to be teachers.
