Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! I am a teacher-certified Literacy Tutor. I tutor students in grades K-5. All of my lessons my lessons are held through Zoom. My philosophy of teaching is to promote a love of learning by guiding students through the learning process. All students learn differently, and because I provide one-on-one tutoring sessions, I have the ability to collect, reflect on, and customize my curriculum to ensure I am meeting your child's individual learning style. Each lesson plan I design and implement helps strengthen all components of what makes a child a strong, confident reader. Since reading is foundational, by creating these meaningful and effective lesson plans, I am helping and hoping to build a lifelong love of reading and learning. I take pride in providing sessions that are multifaceted, engaging and personalized. My curriculum is based around the learning standards for ELA (English Language Arts) Common Core set by the state of IL.
