I began my career 10 years ago working with the elderly population- spending a few years in a locked Alzheimer's unit as a CNA. Then I progressed my nursing career almost 5 years ago when I received my LVN license. I have since worked in a locked psychiatric facility, school nursing for a pediatric patient, as well as in home care for a pediatric patient. I am still currently employed at all 3 working on call. I have experience in seizure medications and precautions, g tube care/administration of medication and nutrition, diabetic care, wound care, oral/nasal suctioning, injectable's, and some tracheotomy care. Working in the school system has been mostly inside the special education classes so I have 2 years direct experience aiding with the class room behaviors and medical needs.
