About Jane

My professional career has been as a children's librarian in public libraries and schools. I have also raised two daughters who are now in their teens. I love children and have many years of working with all types of families. I am looking to work as a nanny/babysitter to help supplement my income as I return to school. (I admit to having a bit of a Continuing Education habit.) I enjoy meeting kids exactly where they are. While I am always ready with a read aloud, I truly enjoy playing and being active as well. I started working with kids 35+ years ago when I was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons. Since then, I have pretty much worked with kids in some capacity either babysitting, volunteering and as a professional librarian. In my spare time, I like to be with my family/community, doing puzzles, playing games, skiing, learning new things and reading books, of course.
