In high school, I volunteered at a place that held dances for people with special needs. It was there that I realized that I wanted to work with that type of community. I'm currently in college and I have decided to go into Social Work. I want to work with children with special needs. In college, I have volunteered with a program for students with special needs. I helped tutor them. This past summer, I worked as a summer counselor for a summer camp for teens with special needs. Then, this summer I plan to work at a day camp for a few weeks that is for kids with autism. I really enjoy working with people with special needs. They are such a joy to be around.
