About Jamilah

My name is Jamilah & I have reunited my passion for working with children through volunteering for at a pediatric occupational therapy office. I assist children with developmental delays with sensory processing, motor, social, and emotional skills. Through play based actives we prioritize safe and interactive methods to reach an increase independence for completing activities of daily living (ADLS include bathing, grooming, walking, talking, eating, etc.) Volunteering for OT has sparked the lost dream I've always had to be a home economics teacher. I had the privilege of attending a school where I learned sewing, cooking, wood shop, etc. My dream is to be able to open up my own childcare facility where I incorporate curriculum that teaches topics like home economics, cultural competence, and less screen time! I would love to be able to teach your children real world skills! I offer part time, overnight, and daily rate childcare services.
