About Jamie

Experience in teaching all subjects throughout elementary school. I teach using the inquiry method where children work through the skill using given information and materials necessary for them to succeed. I believe children learn better using hands-on materials such as models and art materials while making real world connections. I have worked one-on-one, small group, and whole class with students of all ability ranges and learning styles. I am very confident in my ability to teach with patience and differentiation to meet the needs of each individual child for each new skill. This past year I have attended many professional developments regarding new research in education and new learning techniques. I will also continue teaching the Advanced Academics math in my 4th grade class next year.
