About Jamie

Hi I'm Jamie, a 30-year-old man from England originally, but having moved to Tennessee in 2002, I pretty much grew up here. As for my experiences with caregiving, I have a few: ~6 years caring for my grandmother following her stroke. This included driving her places, making her meals, managing her medicine, bathing her, but most importantly being there for her at a lonely time. ~1 year caring for a man with cerebral palsy. This included feeding, drinking, bathing, clothing, transporting in and out of beds and his chair, etc. I learned a lot from this experience and felt like part of the family by the end of my tenure. Unfortunately I had to move back to Nashville. ~4 months taking care of another CP patient. ~3 months taking care of an elderly stroke patient. They were bed-ridden, on a feeding tube, needed wound dressing and diaper changing. Sadly they just passed away. About me, I'm into tennis, music and movies.
