Hi, I'm James. I'm a motivated, passionate 27-year-old with a love for learning. I'm tutoring while I'm waiting to apply for a masters of teaching at San Jose State. I have experience tutoring middle and high school aged students but work well with younger kids too. I graduated with honors from American University with a BA in History. I am most comfortable teaching English or History but with few exceptions have a solid foundation in all subjects. I am also a very fast learner; give me any textbook and I'll get the material down quickly. My strengths as a tutor include a knack for clearly explaining complex concepts in simple terms, a broad knowledge base, and a patient but goal-oriented attitude. I'm always looking for creative ways to get students interested in the material. My love of teaching and learning means I love seeing kids grow and explore.
