About James

Hello, I'm Jim. I am currently a student at California State University, Sacramento, majoring in History. Throughout my academic experience I have taken classes with teachers of all styles. I found that the teachers I was most receptive to were the approachable ones who made me feel like we were part of a team. They always made me feel like I did not have to brave the subjects alone, and that they were always there to help. I try to bring this attitude to each of my students so that they know that they do not have to work through their challenges alone either. Through our teamwork we can master those subjects and build their confidence. I like to have a structured learning plan for each student with clear goals and milestones to aim for. I understand each student is different, which is why my approach is tailored to fit their specific needs. I have tutored in an academic center based on STEM as well as private tutored in various subjects
