About James

I began babysitting when I was 14 for my neighbors across the street - a baby, a toddler, and a elementary schooler. It was a baptism by fire - but it led me towards camp counselor jobs and more babysitting jobs, to now working for a public middle school during the academic year and being a camp director in the summer. I have worked with the special education and behavioral therapy teams in my schools and have advanced training and experience with critical events involving children and teens. In addition to my work in schools and camps, I am a certified EMT and serve as a Crew Chief for my community's ambulance service. I have an active CPR certification and have 10 years of emergency medical service experience. I have worked with families large and small, for as short as an hour of tutoring, or as long as 12 days while the parents were away on business. I bring comfortable structure, reliability, and an easy going nature to wherever I find myself working.
