About Jamellah

I am a compassionate caregiver with 1-2 years of experience babysitting my3-year-old nephew, tutoring elementary students in reading, and working with children with special needs through the Miracle League, where I helped students play softball in an inclusive environment. As a fourth-year Health Informatics and Information Management scholar at Florida A&M University, I am passionate about education and empowering youth. Currently, I serve as an Ignite Fellow with Teach for America, tutoring fourth graders in reading four days a week through a virtual platform. I've also volunteered at the Bond Community Center, teaching third graders how to read. I am flexible and prioritize clear communication with parents, ensuring I can go with the flow of their preferences and routines. These rewarding experiences have deepened my commitment to fostering growth, learning, and well-being in children.
