About Jamellah

I am a compassionate caregiver with 1-2 years of experience babysitting my3-year-old nephew, tutoring elementary students in reading, and working with children with special needs through the Miracle League, where I helped students play softball in an inclusive environment. As a fourth-year Health Informatics and Information Management scholar at University, I am passionate about education and empowering youth. Currently, I serve as an Ignite Fellow with Teach for America, tutoring fourth graders in reading four days a week through a virtual platform. I've also volunteered at the Bond Community Center, teaching third graders how to read. These rewarding experiences have strengthened my commitment to shaping the next generation and fostering growth and learning in underserved communities. I am particularly drawn to roles in public health, education, or child advocacy, where I can combine my expertise in health informatics with my dedication to improving children's lives.
