I am a nurturer by nature and feel that one of my strong points is patience. I feel that patience is key to success in so many areas and is mandatory when caring for those with special needs. In High School, I was involved in an off- campus special needs class that gave me an even greater appreciation of those in need of care, the individuals that provided the care, and the bond and connection they shared. Many years later, I am still so appreciative of that class. One of my recent nanny experiences was a trip to Maine for one week to care for 3 children, requiring special attention for sensory issues. It was a great learning experience, caring for each child's separate care needs individually while they interacted with each other. I enjoy helping and nurturing others whenever and wherever possible.
