About Jakira

My name is Jakira, I am a 22-year-old (soon to be 23 on March 6th) biology major with plans to pursue nursing after graduation! I am an ambitious and personable family childcare provider with over 4 years of experience on care. I have cared for various families with children aging 1mo-16yrs, as well as experience working with Autistic children. I was previously employed at a daycare center so I also have professional childcare and CPR training. Great at keeping up with multiple young children, understanding verbal and non-verbal ques, and remaining clear and calm during misunderstandings or instruction. Ability to understand a child's emotional needs, and when and how to intervene. Expert at brainstorming new activities to build creativity and keep children engaged. I am able to help with preparing and cooking meals (includes nutritious options per request), transporting children, homework- anything you need, I'm willing to do or adapt.
