I started babysitting when I was 15 for friends of the family who had 5 daughters, two of them were over 11 and didn't really need me, but the other three were all under 7. I helped the mother take them to swimming classes, dance classes, and other activities as well as babysit for them during the day when needed. Sadly, they outgrew me. I have an Associate's degree in Child and Youth Development as well as a Bachelor's in Nursing. I used to volunteer in a children's hospital and love watching my niece and nephews when I get the chance!
