I care for my son, who is autistic and has memory loss and tourettes. I also care for my mother, who has multiple sclerosis and is in a wheelchair. She also has a colostomy bag. I also know some sign language as my uncle is deaf. My reason for becoming a nurse was my mom being diagnosed with MS . I haven't kept up my nursing license, but I am able to perform all nursing tasks. I remain calm during meltdowns and cool during emergencies.
