Last year, I worked in the field as a Behavior Specialist for a children's mental health agency in Seattle. I offered support at school and respite for families at home. I emphasized play therapy with my clients, building coping skills, and working on emotional regulation. I have worked with many individuals with autism spectrum disorder, some who were non-verbal and communicated through PECS. I also have experience working with youth who have ODD, ADHD, GAD, Schizophrenia, PTSD, and Major Depressive Disorder among others. I have worked a lot with adopted or foster youth. I have tutored in the past and helped students meet goals for IEPs. I have a degree in psychology and have taken courses in clinical and developmental psychology. I have been an in-home nanny for two neurotypical boys. Additionally, I worked at a mental health clinic as a Peer Support Provider. There I cared for youth recovering from eating disorders.
