I used to be afraid of animals, but after the age of 5, I was set on getting a cow. I still haven't got a cow, but throughout my childhood, my family slowly built up to the idea of living on a farm. It started with chickens. Then, a cat. Then a dog. Then another dog. Ducks. In school, I took animal science classes that included the handling of various animals on a farm. Although I've decided to pursue the human medical field as a long term career, I feel passionately about the care and protection of our animal friends.
