Hi! I'm Jade and I'm a former Special Education teacher and mom to a child with developmental delays and autism. I had the privilege of teaching teens and young adults with multiple disabilities in a high-school setting for 5 years. I have experience with restroom assistance, personal hygiene assistance, mobility assistance + transferring, behavior training and teaching social, life, job, and communication skills. I have been involved in Special Olympics as a coach and classroom teacher for 8 years and have experience nannying and sitting for children and adults with various disabilities. My child is 4 and attends school and therapy during the day. Working with and creating friendships with disabled folks is what lights me up inside. It would make me so happy to provide support for a family who needs care.
