About Jada

I'd describe my personality as understanding, friendly, & respectful. I pride myself on my empathy & understanding of others & think this is why I'm able to be patient with adults & children alike. My friendly, playful side is allowed to come out more when I'm working with kids - showing them I can relate & have fun, while also maintaining an authoritative position that earns their respect. I like working with kids because I find it rewarding & fulfilling. Kids need good examples of leadership, kindness, & strong values & I know I can provide that. I started working with kids in 8th grade, babysitting two kids repeatedly. In high school, I sat for a few families & in college worked as a summer camp counselor (kids ages 5-13). Since college, I've often cared for my two god children (infant-6). In my spare time, I like to read, make pottery, garden & walk my dog. My skills include communication, conflict resolution, compassion, & attention to detail. I'm also CPR certified.
