About Jacqueline

I'd describe my personality as energetic, intuitive and open-minded. I like tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to work with a student one on one and really help them learn at a much deeper level. Students seem to really let their guard down more when it's a one on one situation in my experience. I want the student to feel comfortable to both learn and make mistakes while learning, as this leads to a valuable tool that is needed in life which is adversity and tenacity. I truly enjoy seeing the student's face light up when they finally overcome an obstacle.. Building confidence in their own abilities and believing in themselves is equally as important to instill in a student as the improvement in their academic area. I've taught and tutored for 25 years. I bring energy, patience, flexibility, optimism and laughter to my tutoring sessions. In my spare time, I like to run, do CrossFit, hike, camp, horseback ride, go to concerts, football games, hockey games and travel.
