About Jacqueline

A pastry chef by trade, I taught elementary school children how to cook for a year, ages mainly 5-9. This helped me discover my passion of working with children. I worked temporarily at a preschool, yet realized I wanted to be able to foster more one-on-one connections with the kids. I have a bachelor's degree in food service management and am certified by Colorado Shines to teach ECE. I'm open to building a curriculum if desired. I am also a yoga teacher and enjoy bringing those practices into my child care. For instance, emotional regulation, understanding anatomy, breath work, and effective communication. I'm really good at exposing children to exploring and trying new foods, as well as helping them learn ways to calm themselves down. I believe who we become as adults is linked to what we experience in early childhood. My aim is to help children feel comfortable expressing themselves, trying new things, and leave a lasting impact that goes into adulthood.
