Hello! My name is Jackie. I am a high school special education teacher in the Portland Public School district, but also have experience working with elementary aged youth as well. I have been teaching individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 4 years. I have also worked as a personal support worker for adults with developmental disabilities when I was working to get my degree in special education. Besides my love of caring for children and adults, I enjoy hiking, reading, and cooking. I am an animal lover and have a miniature Dachshund named Bella and a rescue rabbit from Ebenezer. I am CPR certified, would be able to provide transportation and am happy to go through a background check process.
