About Jaclyn

Hi! I'm an aspiring elementary school teacher with 8 years of babysitting, 4 years of preschool, and 4 camp counseling experiences. I love working with kids of all ages, from infants to elementary school students, gaining a well-rounded understanding of child development. My preschool experience includes caring for 1-5-year-olds at Vivian Olum Child Development Center at the University of Oregon, where I have a BA in Educational Foundations. Currently I care for children 3 and under at the Rita Gold Early Childhood Center at Teachers College, Columbia University, where I'm pursuing my Master's in Elementary Inclusive Education and student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom. My camp experiences range from exploring Portland parks to leading adventures in the rainforests of Taiwan. I also speak conversational Chinese. I'm patient, energetic, and love creating fun activities for kids. I enjoy songs, games, and read alouds! I look forward to discussing how I can be a great fit for you:)
