About Jaclyn

I am a NJ certified teacher for K-6 and English as a Second Language. I currently work as a fourth grade teacher, and have experience in third grade, second grade, first grade and Kindergarten classrooms. My education and experience certify that I can help your child succeed. I am currently in graduate school for a Masters of Reading with state certifications to be a Reading Specialist and Supervisor. I am qualified to help struggling readers in a variety of research-based ways. I have also received a lot of training in quality math instruction, and I love tutoring math in engaging and research-based ways. I also am able to provide private music lessons for the violin. I have played for 17 years, and took private lessons for five of those years. I also was part of an orchestra for eight years. I can tutor beginning students as well as students with more experience, including teaching how to read sheet music (treble clef).
