As a homeschooling mom with a flexible schedule, I am passionate about working with seniors. I have hands-on experience as a Personal Care Home Aide, where I assisted a gentleman with late-stage dementia, providing end-of-life care. My responsibilities included mobility support, personal care & hygiene, meal assistance, & dispensing medication. The most rewarding aspect of my role was helping my client achieve their personal goals & improve their quality of life. I encouraged cognitive function through puzzles & conversation while providing vital companionship. I am detail-oriented, hard-working, physically fit, & excel at following instructions. I am also capable of making quick, informed decisions when safety is a concern. My ability to assess changing needs & respond with care & empathy allows me to provide excellent support.
