About Jack

Hello there!, Let me introduce myself. My name is Jack and I was born and raised in SF, and now live in Sausalito. I suppose I have been in the caregiver role throughout my life. ..--My brother is disabled, and my kids have special needs--- But what really drew me to do this type of work was having the privilege of caring for my mother who was struggling with dementia for 6 years. That is a story unto itself , but what I learned was how crucial that social piece is as we age, and how it tends to get harder to maintain on our own. That companionship, plus long walks and music, were important elements in providing care for my mom. Obviously there were many other needs that I took care of, from self care, to finances, housework and hospital appt. just to name a few.
