A little background: I graduated college with a bachelors in psychology and fine arts. I've been in childcare for 12 years. I was an in-home nanny for 5 years to children starting at ages 3 and 7. After that, I began teaching. I worked in a preschool classroom (ages 3-6) for 5 years. In 2022, I moved to Asheville, NC with my partner and began working as a toddler teacher in an Early Head start school. I am comfortable working with large groups or individual children. I enjoy working in environments that utilize my critical thinking and creative skills while fulfilling my passion of working with children. I am CPR and first aid certified. I am comfortable driving children. I'd be happy to take children to activities or plan experiences we can do together! I'm love all animals. I am a nonsmoker. Ivey has been a godsend. Her 10+ years of experience truly shows. Our 3-year-old had separation anxiety, but she eased the transition smoothly, preventing meltdowns. She followed our schedule, asked follow-up questions, and added activities like bead threading and magnetic letter games for fine motor skills and letter recognition. down periods, she asked if she could help and did light cleaning. Her love for children is evident, and our child was well cared for and loved. Highly recommend her.
