I have had a passion to work with people with disabilities since I was 10 years old! Even in the 5th grade I took initiative to read to the special education class every Friday morning. From there I went on to peer tutoring from the 8th to 12th grade. During my high school years I peer tutored for about 2 classes a day if not more depending on the year. I went to Hamilton City high school my 10th-12th grade. Hamilton had the biggest special education unit I had ever seen and it was a honor to help in it. I learned many skills in the years working with mild to severe disabilities. I had also babysat for a family that had a 3 yr old with autism for a couple of years. Out of high school I started college but didn't finish due to money availability. I wanted to major in elementary education with a focus on special Ed. I have been a caregiver for seniors the past couple of years but I am wanting to get back to working with kids.
